Ingredients:
375 grams – flour
375 grams – sugar
375 grams – butter
6 eggs
1 cup chopped Brazil nuts
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking powder
the juice of 2 oranges
Grated skin from 2 oranges
Icing:
1 cup cream cheese
½ cup heavy cream
¼ cup powdered sugar
the juice on an orange
Preparation:
Beat butter and sugar until they have a creamy consistency. Add eggs one by one and continue beating. Add sifted flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, nuts, grated orange skin and orange juice. Whisk well to finish integrating the ingredients.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees F), bake for 35 minutes.
Let the cake is cool over a cooling rack.
Icing:
Whisk all ingredients together until you get a creamy consistency. Spread the icing on the cake when it cools down.
Optional: Garnish with orange segments and grated orange skin.
