Taking care of your body is absolutely necessary for physical and psychological welfare. Looking good when one is young is easy, but over the years it requires a lot of discipline and hard work. But it isn’t impossible, anyone can look better by incorporating healthy habits into their daily life.

Our aging process is genetically programmed, but there are factors such as sun exposure, cigarette use, lack of sleep, excess alcohol consumption and other environmental factors that affect the way we age.

There are several things we can do to counteract premature aging. One is drinking plenty of water. It is advisable to drink about 8 glasses of water a day. This will keep your skin moisturized naturally. You should also eat a balanced diet where fruits and vegetables predominate.

Exercise frequently or at least stay active to stay in good physical condition. It is important to maintain proper weight without rapid gain or lose because it causes the onset of stretch marks. Once they appear they are impossible to eliminate.

Avoid the sun and especially sunbathing. Ultraviolet radiation is harmful. Exposure can cause skin discoloration, loss of collagen and elastin so the skin takes on the appearance of an old suitcase. It is important to apply sunscreen everyday even if it is cloudy.
Moisturizing your skin is important at any age and it is recommended to apply a moisturizer lotion every day after bathing. Use only mild soap and only in areas where it is necessary. As skin is constantly renewed, it is also advisable to get an occasional exfoliation to remove dead cells.

Do not smoke. Smoking cigarettes wreaks havoc on our body and makes us age faster. Do not abuse alcohol and sleep well. Sleep is necessary to repair all body processes and we must sleep about 7 hours a day.
