Orange’s Health Benefits
Oranges are rich in vitamin C, beta carotene and bioflavonoids, making them a highly recommended food against aging. It is an excellent antioxidant. It also contains small amounts of vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and E.
Benefits for the Body:
Oranges are good for sore throats and sore gums. They are excellent for circulatory problems and varicose veins. Its components strengthen blood vessels. An 8 oz. glass of orange juice contains 450 grams of potassium which helps regulate heart rate, blood pressure, kidney function and the transmission of nerve impulses.
Orange peel infusion is a good remedy for various ailments:
Boil orange peel (preferably sour oranges) in 8 oz. water. Place it in the refrigerator in a pitcher and let it cool.
If you suffer from insomnia, drink a glass before bedtime.
If you suffer from lack of appetite take a glass during meals.
If you want to improve your digestion, drink a glass of orange juice after meals.
